Quick Tip: The easiest way to clean and deodorize your microwave is to cut and juice a lemon into a container or water. Place the lemon in the water, rind up, and microwave for several minutes.

The water will steam any stuck-on food, making it easy to wipe off with a damp sponge, and the lemon with remove any odors lingering inside.

When finished, pour the hot water and lemon rinds into the garbage disposal and grind them up a little bit –– leaving them in there for a while, for continuous freshness.

Don’t say I never taught you anything…

Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) Mexican painter. As a result of an accident at age 15, Kahlo turned her attention from a medical career to painting. Drawing on her personal experiences, her works are often shocking in their stark portrayal of pain and the harsh lives of women. Fifty-five of her 143 paintings are self-portraits incorporating a personal symbolism complete with graphic anatomical references. She was also influenced by indigenous Mexican culture, aspects of which she portrayed in bright colors, with a mixture of realism and symbolism. Her paintings attracted the attention of the artist Diego Rivera, whom she later married. Although Kahlo’s work is sometimes classified as surrealist and she did exhibit several times with European surrealists, she herself disputed the label. Her preoccupation with female themes and the figurative candor with which she expressed them made her something of a feminist cult figure in the last decades.

The whole movie Frida should have been about their relationship. Can’t I have that? Maybe just like a featurette?

I ship the hell out of this.

I’m not going to lie this is possibly my favorite 2 minutes in that WHOLE movie! (NSFW)

*removes glasses* I… I don’t remember that scene. Oh my god. These two fierce ladies. So many words.
